Jeffersonville is the largest city on the Indiana side of the Louisville metro area. Today, it’s has the look of an average Midwest city. Not too bad, but bland looking and rather uninteresting in appearance. However, the city has a strong place in history during the civil war era. It was also a place where illegal gambling operations took place throughout the city from the 1930’s and the 1940’s.
