Just like slip dresses and stirrup leggings, the beloved Lenox Spice Village is making a comeback! If you haven’t taken a dive into the world of #ThriftTok on TikTok and/or you were born after ’93 when this adorable spice jar series was discontinued, prepare to be delighted.
Released by the legendary dinnerware and collectibles brand, Lenox, between 1989 and 1993, the original Lenox Spice Village featured 24 labeled porcelain spice canisters that looked like mini dollhouses. It very much aligns with today’s cottagecore aesthetic.
On Aug. 2, Lenox revealed on its Instagram page that, after more than 30 years, its spice village will be available for purchase once again!
Lenox Spice Village 2nd Edition
From what we can see in the video, the 2nd edition of the Spice Village will also include 24 canisters in total. Each canister looks like a cute little house, like the original village, and the color palette feels fresh and fun without veering too far from the original design. The homes come in a variety of shades, including a few pinks, purples, blues, reds and yellows.
How to Get Lenox Spice Village 2nd Edition
To be notified of the Lenox Spice Village 2nd Edition release, you need to sign up for the brand’s email newsletter.
We subscribed and haven’t heard anything yet, but as soon as we have news, we will share it with you here!
On the brand’s Instagram post, many Lenox fans shared how they hope the brand will somehow prevent these Spice Villages from being bought up quickly and then resold at higher prices by third parties. We don’t know if there will be a limit on how many you can add to your cart, but hopefully, something will be in place so the fans out there don’t miss their chance to spice up their kitchen with this new village!
Original Lenox Spice Village Available for Purchase
If you want the original Lenox Spice Village, your best bet is to check retailers like eBay and Etsy. Here are some of the individual spice jars we found online. Note that most of these Etsy sellers are selling a few different individual jars, so if the one shared below is sold out, there may be other options
