In celebration of the Native American culture. The State of Indiana was once the place of a thriving Native American population and they did not easily give up the land that they nurtured and protected. The name “Hoosier” means “squatter” according to some. We learned many things from their culture and I hope that we will always respect them and their contributions to our own culture.
