The Indiana real estate market for residential homes has been extremely hot in 2022. Home prices have soared and demand for housing is still extremely strong. Recent rises in mortgage interest rates have lowered demand for housing, however, values of homes are still on the rise. Our clients have been asking us if rising residential real estate mortgage interest rates are affecting our market. The answer is yes, and no. In recent months we would often see ten of more offers on listings within the first few days of being on the market. Now we still see strong demand, but biding wars are on the decline.
