When Riley Keough saw the fuchsia and navy iridescent matching set from Chanel’s Cruise 2023/2024 collection, it was love at first sight. “It just felt very fun and glamorous and 70s but also very comfortable and cool,” the Daisy Jones and the Six star told ELLE.com. “It was very me, and when I put it on, it just felt right.” The actress donned the look for her first ever Chanel Haute Couture show, staged along the Seine in Paris on July 4 to showcase the fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2023-2024 collection. She decided to keep her hair and makeup simple for the event since the “outfit was so special,” she said.

“Riley wanted a natural look, so I created a healthy, sun-kissed look using glowing highlights while also adding a flushed cheek,” makeup artist Polly Osmond told ELLE.com. “To do this, I applied CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation Hydration and Longwear in BD31 to provide light coverage over the skin and eyelids. This gave a natural finish to the skin. I then added CHANEL Les Beiges Water-Fresh Blush in Warm Pink, layering it to get the right amount of flush. To add some dimension, I brushed on a small amount of CHANEL Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rose Initial, concentrating the product on the apples of the cheeks.”

“It was my very first Chanel Haute Couture show, so I was just trying to take in the history of that and Chanel Haute Couture and how special that is,” Keough added. “And also to see Virginie’s vision and also craftsmanship and artistry of the collection.”
